A tiny world model running games on a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W, in no_std Rust
Project Details
I got interested in looped transformers: one transformer block reused several times instead of a stack of different layers. Since the same weights are reused, they're very cheap on memory, so I wanted to see if I could build a looped world model tiny enough to run on a microcontroller. I used a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W as the chip. For the worlds, I used 5 small games that run in a terminal: Breakout, Flappy Bird, Pong, Pac-Man lite and a Doom-like raycaster with a minimap.
